Granny Square Baby Blanket

I finished this baby blanket recently. It is made with Vanna's Choice Baby yarn, which is a very soft worsted weight. It is an aqua color. It was very easy to make. I am putting it aside for one of my future grand babies! ;o)

Sweet sewing!

I had a lot of fun making these decorations for Elissa's birthday. One of the stuffed cupcakes was made from a pattern from Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle and the rest were a modified version.

What could be better than cupcakes without calories!

New cushions

I painted my wicker chairs and made two new cushions and a new pillow. I need to make a pillow for my other chair. My chairs were looking way more shabby than chic! I love how they turned out! ;o) I also painted my little table that sits between the chairs, I will try to get a picture of the porch later and update this post.

Edited: Here is a picture of my second chair and the porch. Also, there is a picture of the back side of the second pillow. I didn't have quite enough fabric to make the stripes go the same way, and since I am 2 hours from JoAnn's, I improvised! ;o)

Shabby Chic meets French Country

Here is a Mother's day card I made this year. I really need to learn how to photograph my cards, the scanner does not do them justice. The flower is from a set called Gentler Times and I stamped over the flower with French Script. Both are from Stampin Up!

A few of our recent crafting projects

We bought some little nests and wooden eggs, and made these adorable place cards for our easter table. Mom and I painted the eggs blue and yellow and speckled them with chocolate brown paint. then mom attached her place cards which were absolutely lovely!!!

The pages of my Lord of the Rings books were starting to fall out, so I took two of the pages that had fallen out, some thin chipboard, a little bit of carstock and made this really cool bookmark:

This is my favorite clay set I've made recently, and is for sale at my etsy shop

Crocheted Dish Cloths

I can't stand to be idle, (most of the time) ;o) so at night or when we are driving I like to mindlessly crochet. I usually make these dishcloths. I love them and they are so easy to make. I usually make seasonal ones, although the top one is for all year round. I use 100% cotton to crochet them.

Crocheted Edge Baby Blankets

I made two more baby blankets. I love to make these. I think they make nice gifts. I had enough of the aqua fabric to make a burb cloth. These were made for two special babies! Aren't babies just so wonderful!!!

An update (FINALLY!)

I'm sure that most of y'all have long since despaired of ever seeing an update on DH, I'm very sorry for the shocking lack of new posts. We do have alot of projects to share though :)

Our biggest project lately was my regency outfit for a dance I attended in IL.
We used Jenny Chancey's Drawstring Elegant Lady's Closet pattern

Here are some pictures of the construction
Like my pattern weights? :D

We, ahem, sewed the sleeves toward the neck.... hehe

My mom made the dress, but I made the shawl, reticule and most of the chemise.

The chemise:
(I was really tired this day, can you tell by the dumb expression on my face?? haha)
