Papercrafting Wednesday

Hi all! I owe a couple of friends some letters, so I thought I would make a cute note card to write the letter in. I love these colors right now, every time I go to make something I grab this aqua blue. ;o) Hop on over to Kelli's and see what everyone else has made!

Kelli's Papercrafting Challenge~ Birthday card & Bookmarks

I am finally back on track (for now) and able to participate in my friend Kelli's paper crafting challenge. This week I made a birthday card and matching bookmark for my friend Therese for her birthday. Elissa loved the bookmark so much that I made her and I spring bookmarks.

Projects I am working on..

Here are a few projects that I am working on, depending on what part of the house I am in and what I feel like working on at the time. ;o)

This is a cross-stitch sampler called In the Garden with Jane Austen. The directions call to have it made into a bag, but I am going to have it framed.

This is a Crabapple Hill pattern called Journal Rose. It was one of the patterns I bought with my Christmas gift card from there. I am making it into a pillow for my bedroom.

This is a cross stitch that I have been working on for years! It is an old Paula Vaughan pattern called Tea, Roses and Romance. I am about 2/3 of the way done. There is still a tea cup, a tea pot and a few flowers to go. You can see a picture of my new needle minder up in the right hand corner.

I am making a doily for our tea times. It will be a small one that will fit on my silver tray.

Baby Blanket

I recently finished this baby blanket for the sweet young gal who cuts our hair. She had a baby girl in December. I just did a huge granny square changing colors every row (!). ;o) It is the same pattern that I used for this one. She really loved it and I am so glad!

Regency Dress

In November I made Elissa another Regency Dress using the Sensibility Pattern. I used the Elegant Ladies Closet elbow length sleeves and I raised the neckline a bit. I really enjoyed sewing this dress, but I did have a lot of problems with getting the sleeves right. I ended up having to call a very talented young seamstress and she helped me! ;o) Elissa loves it and it looks quite beautiful on her! ;o)

These pictures were taken in Oklahoma at Thanksgiving.

Valentine Cards

On one of my Yahoo Groups, we had a valentine exchange. Here are a few of the valentines that I made. I made several of some of these. I think I ended up making about 35 valentines altogether.

This is the one I made for Steve.

I made a lot of this particular one.

I also made several different styles of this one.

This was my very favorite, it was very shabby chic! ;o)

Pajamas for Seth

Pirate jammies

Fireman jammies

Curious George jammies

Here are three pair of pajamas that I made for Seth. I also made two other pairs, but I can't seem to find the pictures of them. He loves the jammies that momma made for him.
