Kelli's Papercrafting Challenge~ Birthday card & Bookmarks

I am finally back on track (for now) and able to participate in my friend Kelli's paper crafting challenge. This week I made a birthday card and matching bookmark for my friend Therese for her birthday. Elissa loved the bookmark so much that I made her and I spring bookmarks.

Baby Blanket

I recently finished this baby blanket for the sweet young gal who cuts our hair. She had a baby girl in December. I just did a huge granny square changing colors every row (!). ;o) It is the same pattern that I used for this one. She really loved it and I am so glad!

Made with Love

Here are a few of the gifts that I made for Christmas this last year. I'm only a few months behind in posting! ;o) The above picture is Rosemary oil that I made for my mom with Rosemary from my garden.

This is a scarf I crocheted for Elissa.

I made all three of my boys matching OU pajamas. Unfortunately PJ was not able to spend Christmas with us, so I do not have a picture of all three of them together.

Floral Journal & Birthday Card

This is another entry for my friend Kelli's paper crafting challenge. As you can tell I have been on a journal making spree. I have had a lot of birthdays lately (well, not me personally) ;o) and the journals make such a nice personal gift. I have a birthday lunch to go to today and this set is for the birthday girl. The colors on the card match so much better in real life. ;o)

Cupcake card & Journals

Here is my entry for my friend Kelli's paper crafting challenge. A card and two journals I made today. I painted the bindings and I had my box of acrylic paint out. Big Mistake!!! While I was in another room, Seth decided he would paint daddy's chair and the carpet with bright yellow paint. I am so glad we have a carpet cleaner. It took me an a hour, but the paint came up!
The cupcake card and "J" journal are for a sweet friend of Elissa's who is having a birthday next week. And the other journal is Elissa's. They match the one I made for me recently. The only difference is we used teal velvet ribbon on these.

Knitted Scarves

About 6 weeks ago we were in Phoenix and I got the chance to go to Hobby Lobby. (Yeah!) I fell in love with this yarn. It is a robin's egg blue with brown flecks, and it is super soft. I bought two skeins, because I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. One and a bit of the second skein made a nice wide scarf for me and the rest of the second scarf made a long, skinny scarf for Elissa.

My scarf.

Elissa's scarf.

In my quest to organize my craft room, I have been finishing unfinished projects. This scarf was knitted with homespun yarn on size 10 needles.

A couple of years ago, I knitted one of my sister-in-laws a scarf for Christmas. She loved it, but lost it. Awhile ago she told me and asked if I would knit her another one. This is the one I made to replace her lost one. It is also knitted on size 10 needles with a gray and black homespun yarn.

Granny Square Baby Blanket

I finished this baby blanket recently. It is made with Vanna's Choice Baby yarn, which is a very soft worsted weight. It is an aqua color. It was very easy to make. I am putting it aside for one of my future grand babies! ;o)

Sweet sewing!

I had a lot of fun making these decorations for Elissa's birthday. One of the stuffed cupcakes was made from a pattern from Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle and the rest were a modified version.

What could be better than cupcakes without calories!

Crocheted Edge Baby Blankets

I made two more baby blankets. I love to make these. I think they make nice gifts. I had enough of the aqua fabric to make a burb cloth. These were made for two special babies! Aren't babies just so wonderful!!!

Scarves

I knit this scarf for my mom for her birthday. The yarn is Debbie Mumm from JoAnn's.

I crocheted this scarf for Elissa for Christmas. The yarn is Vanna's Choice. I love how soft it is.

Birthday Gifts

These are the gifts that I gave to my friend Jennifer for her birthday the other day. The cupcake card in the previous post went with these.

The tall tin is filled with my Triple Chocolate Mint Cocoa, the mini tin has mini Reese's peanut butter cups and the bag is filled with Hershey's nuggets. I am sure she appreciated all of the sugar that I gave her on New Year's day, the day most people vow to not eat so much junk! ;o)
